Thursday October 30th - Team entry forms must be submitted online at the DirectAthletics website (www.directathletics.com) by 8:00pm.
Entries: We will assign numbers to all athletes entered but
only 12 may compete in each race.
12:00 pm –

Entries
We will assign numbers to all
athletes entered but only 12 may compete in each race.
All Entries must be submitted
online at www.directathletics.com
by Thursday October 30th at 8:00pm.
If you already have a DirectAthletics account,
you may enter using your existing username and password. If you do not have a DirectAthletics
account, please go to www.directathletics.com
and click on the “New User? Click HERE” link under the login boxes. You will be able to created an account and go
directly to the submitting entries.
Follow all prompts and instructions on the DirectAthletics
website. You must submit your entries/roster by clicking the green Register button. It is not sufficient to simply set up your
roster.
Guidelines for Competing Institutions
The conduct of the meet will
be governed by the rules of the 2008-2009 NCAA Track and Field /Cross Country
Rulebook, except as amended by the NESCAC Men’s and Women’s Cross Country
Coaches Association.
Schedule of Events for Friday-Saturday, October 31st
and November 1st
Friday October 31 – Pineland Farms course will be open until sunset. The course set up will take place on Friday
afternoon. Self-guided
tours only.
Saturday November 1 – The course will be set up starting at 10:00am. Self-guided tours only.
12:00 pm –
8000-meter Men’s Championship
1:00 pm –
6000-meter Women’s Championship
2:00 pm – Awards Ceremony
Facilities
Please dress to compete, there are no shower/indoor bathroom facilities
available. Ten port-a-johns will be
available on the property. Shower/locker room facilities will be available
after the championship at
Course Description and Maps
Excellent natural cross
country terrain. These courses will be challenging yet fair. Spikes are recommended. There is no pavement on the course. Course
maps will be sent when completed and will be available at the meet site.
Directions
Directions to Pineland are enclosed.
Adequate parking is available on site.
Dress to compete, there are no shower facilities available. Port-a-johns are available on the property.
Pineland Farms, from the

will be available directly adjacent to the course. Spectator and bus parking will be across the
street from the start/finish area.

Results
Preliminary results will be
available posted ASAP near the finish line.
Final results will be posted at the Bates athletic page, http://www.bates.edu/sports.xml, and
at the Granite State Race Services will post on Coolrunning,
www.coolrunning.com, and New England
Runner.
Medical
Athletic trainers will be
available on site. Water and ice will be
provided. Please see the meet page for
specific information from the Bates AT.
Timing and Scoring
The timing, scoring, and
results services will be provided by Granite State Race Services.
Games Committee
Jim Wescott
will be serving at the meet referee. The
games committee will be composed of Al Fereshetian
(Bates), Peter Slovenski (Bowdoin), Ellen Hull (
Awards
The top to teams in each race
will receive plaques. The top 14 individual
finishers in each race will gather for a photo at the awards ceremony. The top seven athletes will be named all-
NESCAC first team while the second seven will be named all-NESCAC second team.
